I lied. I didn't end up making a Madness movie on time. I just started too late on it, procrastinated, and started doing a rush job on it. I decided that it wasn't worth it in the long run. Maybe next year? Madness day was a success, nonetheless. My personal favorites were Madness: Preloaded, Madness: Dues Ex Machina, and Madness: Newgrounds. But these weren't the only good ones I saw. ;-)

Anyways, what I'm going to budget my time for is a Halloween flash, which is a longer remake of my last year's one(In which, yes, I did a rush job on).

I didn't originally plan to make a Madness movie. But I was struck with an inspiration for an idea, so I started work on it about early-September. I figured if it was mostly to consist of boring Madness clones made by noobie authors, I'd figure I'd have at least a chance(if still slim) of winning something. But I know of at least one or two decent authors who are undoubtedly going to make something halfway decent for the occasion, so I probably won't get first.

Unfortunately, it seems to be taking longer than I thought, considering that its almost completely frame-by-frame. So far, i'm done with about 20 seconds of outlining the 1 1/2 minute movie. I was pretty lazy to start out, working only like an hour a day. Then I didn't feel like working on it for a week. So now, I really need to pick up the pace, if I want to finish on time, without making a rush job. Its going to take a lot of luck and effort. Hopefully, I'll have an extra day or two if Tom acts really nice.

Also, to all the people submitting Madness movies early: Tom says to wait until Madness Day to submit your movies. Just needed get it out.

I like to look at some of the old articles of Newgrounds' history sometimes. I hear of old issues of Tom's "questionable material" on the site. Lawyers of big companies could easily find stuff on the net that they thought should be removed. Parents worried more over these violent games that were popping up on the internet, and thought they should be removed as well. In 1999, most people could easily find and pick on this questionable material.

Fast forward 8 years,

Now, much bigger sites like Youtube, Myspace, ect. have started popping up. Much bigger issues for people on the internet, like stalkers, have emerged for people to focus on. Nowadays, most of the material on Newgrounds would probably be deemed questionable, back in the late nineties. But with these bigger issues out there, many people don't focus on petty things like violent games and (most of the time)copyright infringements.

I'm not saying we should focus on these issues more, I just thought it was kinda interesting.

There are plenty of flash artists who have trouble finding decent music from the Audio Portal. I am making this list as reference for those people.

Under each music category are some of the best artists from that category. Click on them to go to their list of submitted music for you to browse. If you have any suggestions to add, please post them. So sections may be a bit bare, so I will probably make a more extensive list in the future.

I just noticed that just about no one else has taken advantage of the new Audio Portal favorites system. I probably hold the record for favorite Audio Portal songs, mainly because I don't listen to much other music. Is it just that everyone else doesn't like audio portal stuff and prefers mainstream music?

After way too long I am finally finished with my newest Flash. Personally, it's not the proudest accomplishment, but it's done with and thats what matters to me. So, go watch it under the latest Flash submissions. WATCH IT NOW!!!!!!

Redesign, finally! Its really neat and cool and stuff. It'll take a little while to get used to the new layout I suppose.
